We have already read about John, our main character, who now has everything that he puts in his mouth turn to chocolate. It sounds like a great thing to start with, but soon we find out that even though it sounds like a dream come true,  it can turn into a nightmare.

Reading in social studies

As we were reading chapter 4 lesson 2 in our social studies book, we took notes using sticky notes. We only had 2 notes per page, so we had to be careful only to pick out the most important facts!

Addition/Subtracion Performance Task

Students are working in groups of 2 or 3 to work out a complex problem, often with more than one possible solution.  The key to a performance task is in the proof and expaination.  Students are asked not only to solve the problem, but prove it with pictures or diagrams and explain how they got there and why they are correct.
